There are many details to encapsulate within the Montessori method to become a Montessori teacher.  Because of this, we gathered an experienced team of Montessori teachers, administrators, and school owners, trained through American Montessori Society, Association of Montessori International, and/or National American Montessori Center to build this authentic training program.

Introduce yourself, meet your instructor, browse the rules and expectations, and get your questions answered!

More than a timeline of Maria Montessori’s life, this module offers insight into the “Why” behind the method. It may be necessary to purchase a few items but mostly you should have everything laying around your home already!

The cornerstone of every Montessori environment, at home or school, is Practical Life. These lessons allow young children to work with their hands and build muscle memories of everyday actions they’ll be responsible for through adulthood. Making these practical life lessons successful and productive is the intention! Infants and toddlers learn how to pour, tong, scoop, sew, drink from open cups, scrub, sweep, change their shoes, wipe their noses, and even hold utensils on their own in a Montessori classroom. This is possible at home, too! But how does an adult facilitate that independence safely and purposefully? This module tackles the challenges and offers several suggestions for setting up the best practical life space in your home.

Washing your hands, using the restroom, serving yourself a snack, and cleaning up your mess are all very practical and expected behaviors of humans. How do we let our youngest children experience these behaviors and create habits for themselves? The Montessori Home environment is specifically designed to make your family’s spaces independent and safe for self-care routines at a young age.

Upon completion of a 4-week course and all coursework is appropriately submitted, you will receive a certificate of completion for this course. This is mailed to your home. We encourage you to continue your training and complete the full Infant/Toddler or Early Childhood Montessori teacher training!
